ADULT EDUCATION OPPORTUNITY
"Jewish Texts on Jewish Education" led by Rabbi Baum
Wednesdays, July 23 and 30th at 7PM

What do some of the traditional rabbinic sources say about the "mitzvah" (commandment) to learn. This adult education class will explore viewpoints of rabbis throughout the centuries on such topics as: Is Jewish knowledge about reaching answers - or is it about searching and questioning? Does study or action take precedence? Is Jewish learning intended to happen only among elite learners - or is there an obligation to spread knowledge of Torah throughout our communities?
We will have the opportunity to explore these and other issues related to Jewish education - by considering our own ideas and also getting a glimpse of some rabbinic viewpoints throughout the last 2000 years.

MUSIC TEACHER/YOUTH CHOIR DIRECTOR WANTED
Beth Adam's Religious School is looking for a music teacher and youth choir director for Sunday mornings. This is a paid position that is open to non-congregants.
